The virtual Hajj site is good. It takes years to prepare for Hajj apparently, esecially if you're no good at learning duas, lol. Good to get started now, lol.

walakumassalam!

You can rent or buy it for pc watching here:
http://www.tiscali.co.uk/entertainment/film/features/road_to_guantanamo/index.html

It's a true story about 4 British boys (about 20 ish years old) that get caught up in the Afghanistan war after going to Pakistan for wedding. Only 3 of them return and get thrown into Guantanamo for being 'Al-Qaida' people. It's not really bloody, don't worry, I'm not into bloody films. It's a very insightful film- what goes on in Gitmo and howthey treat the prisoners, etc. Watch it if you get the chance. It was a big hit here in London, althoughthe media didnt really pick it upuntil one of he actors was picked up as he returned from pakistan and he wrote a song, lol.

Maybe you can go to Umrah in the winter time, forthe last 10 nights of Ramadan or something, wow, imagine that. Yep, that site will definitely help. I didnt have a clue what we were doing, becuse the imam we went with didnt go by the book, lol. We eventually abandoned him and got by with a litte 'guide to Umrah and hajj'thankfully. Seeing it virually would have made a big difference.

hahhaa its ok, u can say as much as u want. The movie sounds really good actually and it didnt get much media coverage here either. {Of course it wouldnt} I went to a law conference earlier this year and 2 atty's representing clients from Guantanamo Bay were there. They had some good stuff to tell and it got me interested in the whole thing.

thanks for the hajj/umrah advice! i'll def. haveta remember this stuff. Getting other peoples' insights is really important too!

ok i gtg sleep now...fajar azhan just went off! :O

Those lawyers are amazingly articulate. The ones that rep. the Brtish detainees attend so many conferences in london, it's admirable.

That's a huge time difference, didn't realise. Well goodnight then :D

wasalam.

hey, is that the film that was on Channel 4 in the UK about the Tipton three? If so, it's very interesting.. I'm reading "Enemy Combatant" by Moazzam Begg at the moment, another Guantanamo detainee.. I went to his talk last week and got a signed copy.. but it's really upsetting me. :(
